Who
will Benefit from the Qur’an First?

A friend made the following statement:
"I am sure the Muslims will start climbing
up the ladder of victory and success again just the way they used to have
success as per Allah's promise in early centuries of Islam before we were
introduced to many senseless innovations."
This is a pretty common wish Muslims seem to
have.
Unfortunately for Muslims, the Qur'an does not
recognize "lineage" per se. The Qur'an differentiates people between
two major categories. The ones who believe in the Qur'anic Message, and act
according to the Divine Laws, and the ones who don't believe, and act according
to WHATEVER ELSE.
Therefore, whosoever understands the Message
and acts accordingly benefits. Theoretically, Muslims will revert to the
Qur'anic Message as soon as it is made clear to them. But the ground reality
tells me otherwise.
The Qur'an did not bring yet another religion.
It brought a Deen. The spiritual aspect of the Deen may be compared with other
religions. (Note: Deen vs. religion is a topic in itself.)
Since the West has gone so far ahead in terms
of human development, has gone thru the process of denouncing nonsensical
aspects of certain religions, and is in-tuned with the Qur'anic injunction of
"question everything", Westerners will adopt the Qur'anic Message
long before the Muslim masses adapt to it.
Only the open-minded Muslims, who think like
Westerners, will adapt the Message. This is a relatively small number. It will
take a long, hard struggle to rid general Muslims off of man-made,
demi-Islamic, religious chains they are wearing.
Allah does not care if a believer's
father/mother was a Muslim, Christian, Hindu or Atheist. Therefore, reformers
must focus on ALL humans, and work with the humans who are interested in the
Message, thus increasing the number of targeted audience by 300% - 400%.
